Library Apartment is a Top Performer!

Since we joined forces with Holiday Rentals I am pleased to say they have identified the listing as a Top Performer for enquiries in the Scotland region! This means that the apartment is gaining popularity thanks to the wonderful reviews that our previous visitors have been posting on the H-R site.
For your information our listing is at http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/p417084

We are also delighted to say that we are gaining good reviews from travellers on the Trip Advisor website. Trip advisor is an independant website for holiday makers and a very respected one so I guess it means we are doing something right.

Check out our listing on these websites and you will indeed be assured that your choice of accommodation in Glasgow has to be the Library Apartment.

A few months since my last update. During that time we celebrated my birthday in February at the apartment. We had a great time and even stayed out of the shops long enough to go to Glasgow's Art Gallery & Museum.

The picture here shows an exhibition of expressions in the Gallery. Nicolette, my wife, was very impressed and even looks forward to a return vsit next time we are back in Glasgow. We also took in some theatre and the Strictly Dancing Tour. To find out whats on in Glasgow now take a visit to the website (http://www.bookaflatinglasgow.com/) and download the latest Whats On guide.

We have also recently joined up with the Holiday Rentals group of companies to advertise the Library apartment. This has greatly increased enquiries from overseas - Canada in particular- and we look forward to welcoming Canadian and American visitors in the coming months. Our advertisement with Holiday Rentals means that we can promote their rental guarantee. Basically how this works is that if you register your trip with them then they will email you a guarantee. This basically confirms that the accommodation exists and is not some sort of scam ("As If!") and gives you confidence in knowing that the apartment will be there when you arrive in Glasgow. We ourselves used this recently as we booked a trip to New York and in NY in particular there are lots of stories of internet scams.
We can of course assure you 100% that we are legitaimate and we personally ensure your booking is as straightforward as posssible. You can read a few reviews about the Library from previous guests not only from our visitors book on our website ; but also from the reviews published by Holiday Rentals.
Our listing is at http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/p417084

You can read more about the rental guarantee on a new page set up on our own website - http://www.bookaflatinglasgow.com/guarantee.html

So book with confidence and we hope we will welcome you to the Library Apartment in Glasgow sometime soon.

The Ailsa Course Turnberry provides the spectacular backdrop for the 2009 Open Golf with practice rounds starting July 12th and the final round on July 19th. The course is only about an hour away from Glasgow so staying at the Library would give you easy access to the Golf plus all that Glasgow can offer you in the evenings. Great restaurants, pubs, clubs, concerts, cinema, theatre etc or just relax in our wonderful apartment.

Public transport is easy to the course as we are only minutes from the central train station. Trains will run to Girvan with special bus links to Turnberry. So no need to worry about driving or bringing a car when you have accommodation so centrally situated in the city. If you do bring a car then still no need to drive and pay a lot for car parking at the course - leave your car in High St car park for only £7.50 per day. Of course if you prefer to take your car then the M77 is easily accessible from the town centre.

We are currently offering a whole week's package to include accommodation and admission to every day's action at the Open Golf. The price based on 2 persons is only £550 per person. To find out more about this then visit http://bookaflatinglasgow.com/golf.html

2009 at the Library

Here we are in 2009 already. We spent Hogmanay at the Library apartment ourselves and it was great to be back in Glasgow at that special time of year. All sorts were going on in George Square as part of the Winterfest including a Guinness world record attempt at the largest outdoor tea dance. We didnt take part as I have 2 left feet but Glasgow did indeed achieve this accolation on a cold bright afternoon.
More to my taste was the Hogmanay bash in George Sq which was electrifying - great atmopshere and good music. Of course what was especially good was the fact that it was so easy to attend the celebrations as the apartment is only a stone's throw from George Square! It gave me an excuse to wear my kilt - though I definitely wont reveal what I was wearing under it!
The early part of 2009 sees yet more attractions in Glasgow including the Glasgow Homecoming which lasts all of 2009. For more details and for a whats on guide please visit the website at www.bookaflatinglasgow.com and download a copy.
